Philip Humber joined a very exclusive club on Saturday when he threw a perfect game against the Seattle Mariners.

We're still checking as to whether or not a perfect game against the Mariners actually counts as a real perfect game, but it was an impressive feat nonetheless and serves as Humber's second solid start of the season.

Chicago White Sox starter Philip Humber has thrown the 21st perfect game in MLB history.

This perfecto was the first this year and is part of a recent trend of no-hitters. Humber retired all 27 Seattle Mariners batters in a 4-0 win.

A year ago around this time, Philip Humber of the Chicago White Sox nearly pitched a no-hitter against the New York Yankees.  He did not allow a hit to the Bronx Bombers for the first 6 1/3 innings of a game at Yankee Stadium. 

Philip Humber was absolutely masterful in Saturday's ballgame against the Mariners.

He tossed the full nine innings without allowing a run, a hit or a walk, making him the 21st pitcher in major league history to throw a perfect game.

Humber struck out nine in the contest and lowered his ERA to 0.63.

On the season, Humber is now 1-0.

Earlier today, Buster Olney reported that Miguel Cabrera has a small fracture under his right eye and might be out a week or two.

The Detroit Tigers will be the best team in baseball in 2012, so if you're looking for fantasy baseball sleepers, they are probably a good roster to check out.

Superstars like Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder are given fantasy studs, but they aren't the only players on this roster that put up big numbers.

Since 2002, the Minnesota Twins have made of habit of having their prospects making some sort of impact on Major League Baseball. While not all of them have panned out (and what team has?), there are always some diamonds in the rough that not only help the major league club but become household names across baseball.

This will be the third season for the Minnesota Twins at their new home, Target Field.

Many argue that it has more disadvantages than advantages for the hometown heroes, but that is simply because the Twins weren't used to the new digs. That and their lineup last season was decimated by injuries.

This year, however, the advantages of Target Field will be abundant, and it is going to give Twins fans something to cheer about.

Nobody takes more time between pitches than Jose Valverde, but whatever he's doing is working.

Valverde converted all 49 save opportunities last season while posting a 2.24 ERA.  Jose's 49 saves led all of baseball and were a career high.

Valverde has been a consistent closer throughout his career, averaging 32 saves per season.
