The Yankees are in major need of offense for 2013.

It's the reason why they have traded for Vernon Wells and have picked up $13 million of the remaining $42 million left on his contract.

One position that the Yankees could still look to improve on is catcher.

It really depends on who you talk to when the topic is Spring Training.

Spring training to me is completely unique to the player. There are some players who always struggle in spring training only to come out and have a great year. For example, Tim Lincecum has a career 5.59 spring training ERA.

What I do know is that we certainly haven't heard the end of these lamentations. I also know that the question itself is all wrong. It's not what The Boss would do.

The optimism Derek Jeter’s spring debut brought to the New York Yankees is receding after the legendary shortstop’s ankle injury forced him back onto the bench, but there is still no reason for the ball club to worry at this point.
