The New York Mets announced Monday they expect to activate veteran shortstop Jose Reyes ahead of Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins.

The Cleveland Indians designated veteran reliever Joba Chamberlain for assignment Monday, per USA Today's Bob Nightengale. 

Chamberlain provided a statement on Twitter:
