Athletics' Stephen Vogt Shows He Could Be a Part-Time NBA Referee

Oakland A's outfielder Jonny Gomes was doing an interview on MLB Network's Intentional Talk when he decided to introduce the world to the multitalented Stephen Vogt.

Although the Athletics are paying Vogt to be a utility man, he could probably earn a little bit of extra cash by being an NBA referee in the offseason. Luckily for him, baseball season ends just in time for the NBA season to begin.

2 Moves Cincinnati Reds Should Have Made at the Deadline

The Cincinnati Reds didn't make a move at the 2014 MLB trade deadline, but there were a couple of moves the team should have pushed to make.

Cincinnati was around .500 as the deadline approached, so it was in a bit of a tough spot. The team wasn't in a good enough position to be "buyers," but it certainly wasn't in a position to sell. Plus, the team has two franchise players on the disabled list, so making a blockbuster deal wasn't going to happen.

Oakland Athletics outfielder Josh Reddick must believe that rubbing his teammates' beards is only weird if it doesn't work. Now that he found out that it does work, he will probably do it whenever his team needs a rally.

Allen Craig Injury: Updates on Red Sox OF's Ankle and Return

Allen Craig was acquired by the Boston Red Sox prior to the trade deadline, but a bum ankle has limited him to just one game with his new team. It turns out the severity of the injury is enough to keep the outfielder out for a lot longer.

According to MLB writer Maureen Mullen, Craig will be placed on the 15-day disabled list because of his faulty ankle:
