Los Angeles Dodgers

Los Angeles Dodgers

With Manny, Nothing's Cut and Dry

I know, it doesn’t look good.

Manny tested positive for a banned substance and is not appealing the automatic 50-game suspension he received as a result.

The statement he issued was opaque and dodgy, which is not a surprise considering it was likely penned by Scott Boras.

A Moment of Clarity Captured amidst a Topic of Shame at Yankee Stadium

Yet another domino fell in the ongoing defamation of baseball in this generation.  Add to the list of household names to be crucified for their actions now and forever, Manny Ramirez.

Manny is not the topic of this article, but his situation must be mentioned to really drive the point home. Manny now joins this generations group of baseball dunces, and sure the baseball community is shocked, but really how shocked are they at this point?

Canseco has been trying to tell us for years.

Los Angeles Dodgers' Predictions Without Manny Ramirez

The timing could not be better for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Of course, they would always prefer to have Manny Ramirez in the lineup, but the team's hot start, a weak division and a very easy schedule over the next 50 games, still make LA a playoff team and likeliest National League Champion.

Before the season, when Manny and the Dodgers were working on a contract, we conducted an analysis to show how important Ramirez could be to the Dodgers.

Will the Real Manny Ramirez Replacement Please Stand Up?

As we wait for the fallout from the Manny Ramirez fiasco, life still goes on for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ramirez either used poor judgment and was given bad advice by his physician, or he used poor judgment and knew exactly what he was doing.

How Manny Ramirez Broke Every Dominican's Heart

Claudio: So I guess you heard about Manny?

Dad: Seguro que si (of course I did)…

His voice trailed off...

Manny's a cheater. So is A-Rod. Why do we care?

When the news broke that everyone's favorite dreadlocked slugger, Manny Ramirez, had been suspended for 50 games after testing positive for a banned substance, we were immediately greeted with the usual hand-wringing dispatches about preserving "the sanctity of the game" and calls for "zero tolerance" for steroid users.

Manny Ramirez's Positive Drug Test: The Painful, Overlooked Truth

I came home from work today and my roommate, Mike, informed me of the news: Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez had been suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball for failing a drug test.

Ramirez joins the list of players that cheated the game, jointly headlined by super slugger Alex Rodriguez. At the height of the whirlwind of steroid accusations, there were some names (which, at that time, included Ramirez and Rodriguez) that nobody suspected as cheaters.

Most Surprising Aspect of Ramirez Drama? He Cared Enough To Cheat

Manny Ramirez has never been known for his hard work or respect for baseball.

Manny is a great player, but it seemed he just played baseball because he was good at it, instead of a love for the game.

Playing was not enough to keep Manny interested. He had to high-five fans after making a catch. He trotted around the diamond admiring his home run, only to realize he was actually admiring a ball that would hit off the fence.

Defend Manny, but Do Not Expect Us to Take You Seriously

You’ve got to be kidding. Manny didn’t know what he was taking was illegal? You buy that, Peter Gammons?

He tested positive for HCG, a fertility drug used to increase testosterone production (which players need after a steroid cycle to normalize testosterone levels).

Why would he need this drug? It’s not Viagra, it has a specific purpose to baseball players and is abused.

These analysts that are defending Manny are off their rocker. Do we really believe that these guys don’t know what they’re doing?

Manny Being Manny: Another One Bites The Dust

Welp, here we go again.

Another superstar caught with a failed PED test. Another person Jose Canseco has busted before an official leak came out.

By this time today, you've all heard the story.

Manny Ramirez has tested positive for a banned substance and will be suspended for 50 days by Major League Baseball.
