In the thick of the National League East race, the Atlanta Braves would be wise to make a move or two before MLB's non-waiver trade deadline passes on Thursday.

There are two glaring holes on this roster—left-handed relief and bench depth. The latest rumors certainly touch on the fact that the bullpen needs help, though there really isn't too much going on in terms of bench help.

Troy Tulowitzki is one of the best players in the game today. He not only hits for average but also has extraordinary power for a shortstop. Any team looking to acquire him by the trade deadline would have to be willing give up a hefty sum in return. A few teams are said to be interested in making a trade for Tulowitzki.

Of the teams rumored to be interested in his services, which do you think makes the most sense?

The 2014 MLB trade deadline is closing in, and teams are scrambling to put together rosters that will keep them atop the standings and into the postseason.

The Atlanta Braves currently sit one game back from the Washington Nationals. What do the Braves have to do to take the lead in the NL East and have success in the postseason?

Let me begin by assuring you all I am not totally crazy. Partially crazy, perhaps, but not totally. But what I am about to suggest may actually be a reasonable and logical step for the New York Mets to take in order to hep get them to (and keep them in) relevancy once again in the National League.

After an especially painful season in the batter's box for Dan Uggla, the Atlanta Braves have released the struggling second baseman.

On Friday night, the Philadelphia Phillies begin their second half in the National League East cellar with a 42-53 record. General manager Ruben Amaro has several assets who will be very valuable in trades, including left-handed pitcher Cliff Lee.

The New York Mets have a plethora of pitching prospects but only a few exciting hitting prospects. Fans know about guys like Brandon Nimmo and Kevin Plawecki, but there is one name that they might not know yet but will soon: Champ Stuart.

The Atlanta Braves (47-38) are currently riding a season-best seven-game winning streak as we hit July.

Despite their hot streak, the Braves hold just a half-game lead in the division as the Washington Nationals have also improved their play.

You can bet general manager Frank Wren will be looking to improve the roster as the July 31 trade deadline nears in order to give the Braves a leg up over the Nationals.
