Oakland A's Radio Flagship Changes Format, Finally Equal Media Coverage for A's

It appears that for once the statement "all things happen for a reason" has some validity in regards to the Oakland Athletics.

The A's attempted to buy their former radio flagship KTRB 860am, finally ending negotiations the final week of spring training.

The failed bid to purchase the station briefly put regular season broadcasting in question for the Athletics, drawing criticism for A's owner Lew Wolff.

Oakland Athletics: What to Take from the Minnesota Twins Series

Series Recap

Oakland Athletics Newcomers All Contribute in 5-3 Victory Over Minnesota Twins

Oakland's newcomers finally put it all together and the A's put together back-to-back wins, taking their first series of the season.

David DeJesus, Josh Willingham and Hideki Matsui were acquired to give the Athletics an offensive boost to support their stellar starting pitching, and also to lift the A's from their 81-81 finish last season, into contention in the American League West.

Oakland Athletics: Trevor Cahill to Sign Multiyear Extention

According to multiple sources, the A's and opening day starter Trevor Cahill have reached an agreement on a multiyear contract extension.

Oakland Athletics: Offensive Woes Early Hurting Team

Everyone knew coming into this season that the A's would have the same setup as the team across the Bay, the San Francisco Giants. The A's pitching has been hyped up from the get go, and rightfully so. The starters are young and very good, and the relievers are a major improvement over last years.

The A's lineup looks a bit different from last years as David Dejesus, Josh Willingham, and Hideki Matsui now sit in the 3-4-5 spots.

Questions Mounting as Oakland Athletics Fall to 2-5 After Loss to Twins

The old baseball cliche is that pennants are not won in April, but they most certainly can be lost.

In an AL West that is expected to be tight all season, the A's can not afford to continue losing games in which their starting pitching puts them in a position to win.

Friday afternoon the A's dropped another close game, 2-1, to the Minnesota Twins in the weekend series opener. With the loss Oakland is now 2-5 on the season and 4.5 games out of first place.

Series Preview: Oakland Athletics Open 3 Game Series in Minnesota Against Twins

The Oakland Athletics and Minnesota Twins enter this weekend's three-game series with identical 2-4 records. Both teams are currently tied for last in their respective divisions (the A's are tied with Seattle and Minnesota is tied with Detroit).

The Athletics salvaged one game of their three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday afternoon with a 2-1 victory behind a solid pitching performance by Trevor Cahill.

Oakland A's: The Best and Worst of Billy Beane in Hindsight

After a failed attempt at a career as a professional baseball player, Billy Beane decided to try his hand in the front office. In 1998, he became the General Manager of the Oakland Athletics. Over the past 13 years, Billy has broken the hearts of the Oakland faithful numerous times by trading away some of the A's best talent for players who are relatively unknown. More times than not, the players traded away become unheard of and the new players become stars.

MLB: The Best and Worst Uniforms/Logos

In Major League Baseball, there are some teams with brilliant logo designs and bright, flashy jerseys. Those are the teams I love to watch play everyday. The teams I can't stand are the ones with dull, boring colors and an unoriginal logos. I've selected my top 5 and my bottom 5 of each category.
