Albert Pujols: A Quiet Run at the Triple Crown?

No major leaguer has won a triple crown since Boston's Carl Yastrzemski in his World Series season of 1967 with 44 homers, 121 RBI, and .326 batting average.

The last National Leaguer to win the triple crown was another St. Louis Cardinal,  Joe "Ducky" Medwick, who batted .374 with 31 home runs and 154 RBI.

Both are Hall of Famers.

Mets Sweep of Pirates Lies in Hands of Johan Santana

PITTSBURGH: The last time the Mets swept a road series against a National League team of three or more games was September 2008. It's hard to believe, but that's a fact.

Today, the Mets can end the drought by beating the Pirates. With Johan Santana on the mound against Pittsburgh, you'd think there's no way the Mets can lose.

Hopefully, that's the case, as the Mets try to pick up more ground in the NL Wild Card chase.

2011 Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Roster By Position

Preface: This article is not just the best players at each position, no matter the circumstances (payroll, player preferences, owners, etc). The criteria used for the article includes all of the before mentioned attributes and they are factored in to each position.

The 2010 season is over for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Faithful fans are still watching, but the Boys in Blue are really only mathematically in it, not realistically.

Future Headline: Roger Clemens Not Guilty!

Most of the media, Major League Baseball, teammates, and most of the public feel that Roger Clemens is guilty of steroid use and therefore guilty of perjury before Congress.

But wait. Reginald J. Brown, a former special assistant to President George W. Bush and associate White House general counsel has found a legal argument that he believes could win.

New York Yankees Prospect Check Up: August 21, 2010

A quick check up on how some of the Yankees' top prospects are doing as of August 21, 2010.

Ryne Sandberg Not Likely To Manage Chicago Cubs If It's Up to Jim Hendry

Assuming that everything that owner Tom Ricketts has told us is true, and Jim Hendry really will be leading the search for the next Cubs manager to replace the retiring (retired?) Lou Piniella, do not believe that former Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg is a lock to be the man.

In fact, if you read into the tea leaves, Hendry doesn't feel that Ryno is ready to be a major league manager and instead would prefer one with previous major league experience.

The One Reason Not to Give up on Chan-Ho Park: Yet

Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Chan-Ho Park has been their most inconsistent pitcher so far of the year, posting a 10.80 ERA in five games for the Bucs.

Before he was claimed by the team, he was pitching with an ERA of 5.60 with the New York Yankees.

Manager John Russell and his team hoped that the veteran could turn things around and be effective out of the bullpen like he was when Park was with the NL Pennant winning Philadelphia Philles.

Roger Clemens: He's Not Guilty Yet

Geraldo Rivera appeared on the O'Reilly Show yesterday comparing Roger Clemens attorney with the attorney for Mark McGwire. Geraldo's position was that Rusty Hardin, Clemens' attorney, should be disbarred for allowing his client to testify. He said that Hardin is responsible for Clemens' federal indictment yesterday for allegedly lying to Congress.
