MLB: 10 Under-the-Radar Players Who Will Make an Impact in 2011

Predicting the final stat line for Albert Pujols or Roy Halladay is almost boring. Just look at the last ten years of consistently stellar production and pick some numbers in their statistical range.

Players like Carlos Gonzalez offer a little bit more excitement. Acquired by the Rockies in the trade with the Oakland A's that sent Matt Holliday to Oakland and brought Huston Street to Colorado, Gonzalez burst onto the scene in 2010, winning the National League batting crown with a .336 average.

MLB Opening Day: Counting Down the 10 Most Amazing Opening Day Performances Ever

On Thursday, March 31, baseball will make its long-awaited return with its traditional Opening Day.  It will be a day when fans just sit back, relax and enjoy the game before the divisional rivalries cause battles in the bleachers.  With the epic pitching matchup of CC Sabathia vs. Justin Verlander kicking off the season, it's sure to be a great 2011.

In other games, careers will be made while others may end due to injury.  Fans will laugh, cry and cheer as their favorite players have (hopefully), amazing first games.

MLB Power Rankings: Each Team's Greatest Rookie Season of All Time

Every year since 1949, the most standout first-year player from each league has been awarded the Rookie of the Year Award.  More often than not, receiving this award is a result of a young player tearing onto the major league scene as if he had already been playing there for years.

Some teams have had many players bring home the honor, and some have yet to earn one.  However, whether he received recognition or not, every team has had at least one player with an amazing rookie campaign.

MLB Preview: Preseason All-NL East Team

The National League East is a division that was dominated by the Braves for years, but the Phillies are now top dogs. That is not to count the Braves out, however, as they have a wealth of young talent and a solid pitching staff.

MLB Trade Needs: Each Team's Biggest Target Heading Out of Spring Training

The 2011 Major League Baseball season starts this week, and as the teams prepare to head north, there are still holes to be filled on just about every major league depth chart.

For Major League Baseball teams, it is relatively clear that, unless you are the Boston Red Sox, you are probably going to need to make a move or two in the next three months if you want to lock up a playoff spot come October.

Boston Red Sox: The 10 Worst Trades They Ever Made

Boston Red Sox baseball is a mere five days away, but before the season starts, it'll be good for Red Sox fans everywhere to catch up on their history.

The Red Sox have a lengthy past, as they were part of the American League's eight original teams in 1901. With that long history comes a very detailed record of trades and transactions.

I've been tasked to present 10 of the most maligned deals, and here they are.

The Hottest Fan Bases of Major League Baseball

With just four days away from Major League Baseball's Opening Day, there is no better way to ring in the new season than to bring you the hottest fans in baseball.

We may not know what the 2011 baseball season will hold for our favorite teams, but one thing is for sure, these sexy fans will be with you for the long 162-game journey.

And you thought spring training was hot? You better hold on tight for this one-of-a-kind ride through the beautiful side of Major League Baseball.

MLB Power Rankings: The Late '70s Astros and the 10 Ugliest Uniforms of All Time

One of the biggest parts of the business side of baseball for MLB teams is branding and merchandise. Every few years the majority of the teams will tweak or completely overhaul their uniforms as a way to provide fans with new merchandise and to keep their image fresh.

The problem is that the majority of sports teams at one point in time have run out some pretty ugly uniforms, like this Astros uniform from the 1970s.

These are the top 10 ugliest uniforms in MLB history.

2011 MLB Preseason Preview: Cleveland Indians—AL Central

Cleveland Indians (2010 record: 69-93)

If there is little reason to buy a ticket in Houston, there is even less reason to buy a ticket in Cleveland. The Indians did very little this winter in terms of improving the roster…and since everyone else in the division is as good or better than they were last year, the upcoming campaign is not looking promising.
