While not nearly as flashy as past offseasons, the Philadelphia Phillies made a plethora of moves this past offseason. And as they finish up the first sixth of the season with an even 13-13 record, the Phillies are at the point where their offseason acquisitions can be graded with a relatively decent sample size.

The first month of the baseball season is officially over, which means it's time to dish out grades for all 30 MLB teams. In the report cards that follow, each team is graded on four categories: offense, rotation, bullpen and overall.

The overall grade takes into account the previous three categories. However, in certain cases, it's no easy task to arrive at a final letter grade—especially when teams score particularly high in one section and particularly low in another.

The first month of the 2014 MLB season is just about to wrap up.

For the Atlanta Braves (17-7), it's the second season in a row they've jumped out to an early-season lead in the division thanks to a hot April. The Braves hold a 3.5-game lead over the New York Mets, which is the same as their lead over the Washington Nationals this time a year ago.

As the Chicago Cubs celebrated the 100th birthday of Wrigley Field on Wednesday, Cubs fans around the country will rejoice in the fact that they have...well, something to rejoice.

Although the team hasn't won a World Series since they began playing at Wrigley Field in 1916, fans of the team are optimistic that a championship may very well be on its way to Chicago's North Side in the near future.

We sit only a month into MLB's 2014 regular season, and the trade market has already heated up with a number of deals consummated between clubs, the latest of which found Lucas Harrell shipped from Houston to Arizona in exchange for either cash or a player to be named later, per Matt Snyder of CBSSports.com.

Now that the first month of the major league baseball season is in the books, it's time to take a look at some early report cards for the New York Mets' acquisitions made during the offseason.

Let's take a look:

Bartolo Colon (Starting Pitcher)

Grade: C

From the record-setting Jose Abreu to the wildly underachieving Prince Fielder, it's time to dish out grades for MLB's top 15 offseason acquisitions heading into May. 

Of course, the Chicago White Sox's slugger is far from the only big-money pickup who receives a high mark. Conversely, Fielder is definitely not the only premier name who has all sorts of room for improvement. Plus, there are a few stars who fall right in the middle.  

On paper, the Dodgers have too many good problems. Too many good outfielders, too many All-Star closers, and, for the first time in many years, a well-stocked farm system. So barring a rash of injuries, the Dodgers shouldn't have the need to make any major trades this season. 

This season was expected to be a very solid step in the right direction for the Chicago Cubs.

However, this season hasn't given much reason for optimism yet on the North Side. There have been several players, including many in the bullpen, that have disappointed so far. That being said, there have been just as many players who have gotten off to good starts. 

The MLB instant replay system is definitely still a work in progress.
