WBC: Potential Disaster for Major League Clubs...Especially the Braves

The report is very disconcerting for Atlanta Braves fans.

Chipper Jones strained oblique muscle is only getting worse after reaggravating the injury trying to come back and play for his country.

He has finally decided to head back to Braves camp in hopes that he can be ready to play in a few days.

Some early reports stated that Chipper might not be available until opening day, but the latest reports—and even Chipper himself—said that he should be back within the week.

David Wright: Earning The Respect Of Everyone Who Gets to Know Him

The Mets made a huge sacrifice in sending 16 players to the World Baseball Classic this year, but they have all served their countries well so far, even though Jose Reyes and Fernando Tatis are returning to camp after the Dominican Republic was eliminated last night.

David Wright was the first Met to accept an invitation to play for Team USA in the WBC after A-Rod decided to play for the Dominican Republic, but we all know what happened there, so no further discussion is needed.

Is the WBC Good for the Mets?

The writer's block is gone (I hope). Thanks to all the great people that helped me get over it

The Mets have 16 players in the WBC.

Lots of people say they don't care about the WBC. The average American baseball fan is worried that his team star will get injured in the tournament, or that because of the WBC the players will be washed-up come August.

The WBC: Glorified Exhibition

If you're a baseball fan your probably at least checking out the World Baseball Classic. Chances are a handful of players on the MLB team you cheer for are playing in the WBC.

However, do you care more if they do well? Your country wins? Your home teams players coming out of this "exhibition," healthy is what you should really care about. This Bud Selig created monster is a disaster waiting to happen.

All it does his hurt some players development during what should be spring training, putting them in a false "big game," mentality.
