There are some players who own a particular team or pitcher.
Some are so good against a particular team that the odds of getting them out seem as low as being struck by lightning.
I have researched and found, by each position, the active players who have had the best success against the Reds.
Let's do this.
We will start with the pitcher and work our way around.
Pitcher
Roy Oswalt 23-1, 2.58, 206 IP, 177 H, 165K
When Oswalt starts against the Reds, you may just as well roll over and get some rest.
Catcher
Brian McCann .321/.388, 8 HR, 22 RBI
1B
Lance Berkman .327/.444, 48 HR, 133 RBI
2B
Chase Utley .324/.396, 14 HR, 36 RBI
3B
Aramis Ramirez .336/.391, 26 HR, 103 RBI
SS
Rafael Furcal .331/.392, 13 HR, 41 RBI
LF
Jason Bay .357/.432, 21 HR, 69 RBI
CF
Andruw Jones .297/.384, 31 HR, 79 RBI
RF
Brian Giles .303/.422, 27 HR, 78 RBI
That is a pretty good squad in its entirety.
Here are some other players who have very good career stats against the Reds:
Albert Pujols .361/.438, 40 HR, 118 RBI
Chipper Jones .305/.388, 21 HR, 76 RBI.
Bay was with the Red Sox last year and I didn't miss him a bit. Now that he's with the Mets we will see him at bat a few times.
I don't know what Jones status is currently or Giles for that matter, but to my knowledge they haven't officially retired.
Maybe with better pitchers we can get those guys out more than six times out of 10.
