Albert Pujols is the best first baseman in the MLB. He may even be the best of all-time, but as Pujols and the St. Louis Cardinals tried to reach a contract extension before spring training, Pujols made it evident that he wants more money, and he's not scared to test the free agent market.
As Pujols entered spring training, he said that negotiations are over, and that he doesn't want this to follow him throughout the season. The Cardinals have made one formal offer, which he declined, and at this point, we don't know what Albert will decide. "I want to be a Cardinal forever. That's my goal."
Ultimately, we have no idea where Pujols will land next season, but I'm going to count down from 30 to one the teams according to their chances at landing this slugger.
I'm not going to refer as much as to who likes him, who doesn't like him and who does or doesn't have the money, these will be mostly based on who just flat out needs him.
