There's not much time to rest for the Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals. About 16 hours after playing the first game of their American League Division Series, they will be at it again on Friday afternoon at Kauffman Stadium.
Visiting Houston claimed the opener with a 5-2 win in Game 1, getting solo home runs from Colby Rasmus and George Springer as well as three hits from Jose Altuve. Collin McHugh threw six solid innings for the win.
The Royals managed only six hits in the opener, though two of those were solo homers by Kendrys Morales.
According to ESPN.com, Houston will throw left-hander Scott Kazmir, while Kansas City will look to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole by sending righty Johnny Cueto to the mound.
First pitch is set for about 3:45 p.m. ET and the game is being shown on Fox Sports 1, but stick with us for real-time updates, analysis, statistics, pictures, tweets and anything else worth noting from Game 2.
