Update
Good news for Atlanta Braves fans.
Jari Jurrjens went for an MRI on Tuesday, and the results showed no structural damage in his shoulder. Everything checked out with his labrum and rotator cuff.
Jurrjens was just suffering from shoulder inflammation and will rest for the remainder of this week before beginning a throwing program next week.
All signs point to Jurrjens being ready for Opening Day.

So much for being a good employee. Sometimes it pays to be like George Costanza.
Atlanta Braves ace Jair Jurrjens came to camp early and will leave just as early. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s Dave O’Brien, Jurrjens has left camp and will undergo an MRI on his pitching shoulder after complaining of mild soreness on Monday.
This is kind of like entering the Royal Rumble at No. 1 and being eliminated before No. 3 comes out.
Thanks for playing.
I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but if anything were to happen to Jurrjens for an extended period of time, it would be a big blow to the Braves. After having a Cy Young caliber 2009 season, Jurrjens is expected to lead the Braves deep starting rotation in 2010.
The 24-year-old righty went 14-10 with a 2.60 ERA in 215 innings last year.
As soon as there is any additional information in regards to this situation, I will update this post.
