Breaking News: Milton Bradley Leaves Park During Cubs-Sox Game

Please Milton, make it easier for Cubs fans and sportswriters to turn against you.

According to the Chicago Tribune's Paul Sullivan, after flying out in the sixth inning on Friday against the White Sox, Bradley threw his helmet in the Cubs dugout and then went after the Gatorade cooler.  Manager Lou Piniella then went to talk to Bradley in the tunnel, where the two exchanged angry words.

Bradley was replaced in right field by Ryan Freel for the bottom half of the inning and was then spotted in street clothes headed to the parking lot. He left the park in the middle of the game.

Ever since arriving in Chicago, Bradley has been trying to get the media, umpires and fans off his back and just let him play.

Hard for us to ignore something like this one Milton. Not only is Bradley not hitting well this year (.237, 5, 16), but he's been injured and had multiple incidents already, ranging from being suspended to this latest outburst.

This may have had something to do with Bradley being benched yesterday by Piniella, or it may just be an isolated incident where he was extremely unhappy with his at-bat.  Regardless, it's just the latest in a string of events which could have been avoided by not signing him in the first place.

While this may be breaking news, unfortunately it's not surprising news. More details to come as they become available.

At least it didn't affect the outcome, as the Cubs defeated the Sox 5-4.
