Cano and Marte Injury Update

This update comes from the Yankees via Peter Abraham:

Robinson Cano and Damaso Marte underwent initial physical examinations this evening at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Yankees Team Physician, Dr. Chris Ahmad, examined both players.

Marte’s initial evaluation indicates left shoulder inflammation. Cano’s initial evaluation indicates right shoulder tendinitis.

Both players will undergo MRI scans tomorrow in Tampa.

As Peter said in his post, we'll know more tomorrow after the MRI, so I'm gonna wait until then before reacting to this. However, as I said earlier, I believe both should be fined. Especially Cano for not telling the team he was injured before joining the Dominican team.
