Whether you agree with me or not, and no matter if you like my writing or you do not, I want to send a message to everyone in the Chicago Cubs community on Bleacher Report:
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
And, if you happen to be Jewish, Happy Hanukkah and Rosh Hashanah.
After all, we're all Cubs fans, right? We may not see eye to eye, but we do have the Cubs best interest at heart.
I happen to think that, so far, this has been another horrible offseason for Cubs GM Jim Hendry. I also happen to think that the Cubs glass for 2010 is half-empty.
But even if you are the typical optimistic Cubs fans who drinks the kool-aid, I wish you and your family all the best.
Look, we all agree that our best Christmas present would be a World Series victory. Even if that is unlikely, we all share our love for a team that continues to disappoint, yet continues to reside in our hearts.
Maybe you're new to Bleacher Report—if so, welcome. Maybe you're a long-time reader of B/R who understands that I believe the best way to improve the team is to be critical; regardless, I appreciate the reads and the devotion.
Some of you I have debated with; some of you will never respect my opinion; and still some of you still come back and offer your opinion.
Either way, Merry Christmas, come to think of it.
