Curt Schilling to Run for Senate in 2018: Latest Details and Reaction

Former MLB pitcher Curt Schilling announced his intention to run for the United States Senate as a Republican against Massachusetts Democrat Elizabeth Warren in 2018, according to Tim Hill of the Guardian.

Schilling, who appeared on Rhode Island radio station WPRO on Tuesday morning, did add he still needs to fully clear the decision with his family. 

“I’ve made my decision," he said, per Hill. "I’m going to run. But I haven’t talked to Shonda, my wife. And ultimately it’s going to come down to how her and I feel this would affect our marriage and our kids.”
