Welcome to the ninth edition of "Daily Random Sports Thoughts!"
For those not familiar, I pick a team, player, or any other topic in sports that I have five random thoughts about. If you like 'em, read 'em. I'm trying to get 'em on here every day!
Today's lucky random sports topic is...Dustin Pedroia!
1) How tall are you? And please, give me the truth. I've heard people say that you're 5' 9'', others say 5' 5'', and some claim that you are three-and-a-half feet tall. What's the real thing?
2) Hey, I read your article in the Boston magazine a year or so ago. In "Dustin Pedroia Comes Out Swinging," you said A-Rod was "a dork" (which I believe), and that your hometown of Woodland, Calif., was "a dump." What are you gonna do this year to get attention?
3) I love the way you play. You get dirty, hustle, and go all out. When I play, I try to go just as hard as you. That's the way baseball is supposed to be played! Thank you for being a great example!
4) Just saying, Dustin, but you are the only Red Sox guy I like. I'm a Yankees fan, so keep that a secret, okay? Shhhhh!
5) I read your book "Born to Play," (great book by the way), and I loved it. I'm pretty small myself, so it's good to have someone to look up to who is small and succeeding. But I was just wondering...Is swinging a bat really your earliest memory?
