With Darren Oliver Now Gone, Do the Angels Really Have a Plan?

So, let me get this straight.

Your team's spark-club and legitimate stolen-base threat—gone.

Arguably, the club's best starting pitcher and Game Seven starter in 2002—gone.

The club's most consistent reliever and great clubhouse guy—gone.

The team's most feared hitter and former league MVP—gone.

The sole additions being two 35-year-olds with weak knees?

What exactly is going on over in the the offices in Anaheim of Los Angeles?

This time of year there are two types of teams—spenders and savers.

Fans of the Angels are used to their team being spenders.

The lack of activity and apparent switch to saver from the club this offseason is disheartening.

What is the plan, Tony Reagins?

Fans stuck by the team when they knew there was a chance Mark Teixeira wouldn't re-sign, because you told us about your plan and your confidence in Kendry Morales.

Fans stuck by when Lackey bolted for Boston, because you told us about the plan in the form of Scott Kazmir.

Is Brandon Wood the plan to replace Figgins? If so, no one here has heard it.

What about now losing Darren Oliver?

Is the plan to see a healthy Scot Shields in 2010?

No idea because you haven't said anything.

What is going on in Haloland? It's time we heard from GM Tony Reagins.

The natives are getting restless.
