Dee Gordon Zooms Around Bases for 3-Run Inside-the-Park HR vs. Giants


Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon doesn't have a ton of power, but with his speed, he doesn't need power in order to notch a home run.

With two outs in the bottom of the second inning of Tuesday's game against the San Francisco Giants, Gordon found the gap in right-center field, and he was off to the races.

Both Derek Dietrich and Ichiro Suzuki were able to score with ease on the hit. When neither Giants right fielder Gregor Blanco nor center fielder Angel Pagan was able to get to the ball before it got to the warning track, it gave Gordon a chance to go for home.

The Giants tried to get the ball in as quickly as they could, but they weren't fast enough. Gordon easily beat the throw home, completing the three-run inside-the-park home run.

This was the Marlins' first such home run in their new ballpark:
