My Two Cents
The Tigers will look to finish their four-game set against the Orioles with a win and a split today. The Tigers were stymied by two rookie hurlers in the first two games of the series and will face another one this afternoon in Jason Berken, who is making his second career start.
Tigers starter, Edwin Jackson, has faced the Orioles five times in his career (three starts) and has an ERA of 8.31. Also, in two starts at Camden Yards, Jackson is 1-1 with an ERA of 12.46. Hopefully, he can turn things around today.
Jackson and the Tigers pitching staff will look to keep Luke Scott off the board, as he has homered in each game of this series and five times total. The Tigers lead the AL Central by four games over the surging Chicago White Sox and by four and a half games over Minnesota and Kansas City. A win today would be nice, since the Tigers face the Red Sox and the Angels next week at Comerica Park.
