New York Yankees fading star Alex Rodriguez might be in his final week as a major league ballplayer, but he won't be getting much of a chance to say goodbye on the field.

The Cleveland Indians will be without manager Terry Francona for Tuesday's game against the Washington Nationals because "he was experiencing chest pains before [the] game," per Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com.

It has always applied to Prince Fielder, though, from the moment he swung onto the scene with his bulky physique, MLB pedigree and a hack built to bash baseballs.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced on Tuesday they have purchased right-handed pitcher Alex Reyes from the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds. 

He is taking up the spot left by starting pitcher Michael Wacha, who went on the 15-day disabled list due to shoulder inflammation. 

A series of Snapchat videos has gotten Yasiel Puig in trouble with the front office of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"We are aware of what Yasiel posted on social media last night, and while we are disappointed in his and some of our players' judgment, this is a matter we will address internally," Dodgers president Andrew Friedman said, per the Southern California News Group's J.P. Hoornstra.

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Michael Wacha has been placed on the disabled list while dealing with right shoulder inflammation. It's unclear when he will return to the mound.

Reyes Recalled to Replace Wacha on Active Roster

The Cardinals announced top prospect Alex Reyes (No. 9 overall, per MLB.com) has been recalled from Triple-A Memphis to replace Wacha.

Texas Rangers slugger Prince Fielder's career is reportedly over after 12 years in Major League Baseball.

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reported Tuesday the Rangers are expected to hold a press conference Wednesday, when Fielder will likely announce his decision to step away from the big leagues.
