The rumors are flying quickly as we approach the Aug. 1 MLB trade deadline, and some big names could be on the move.

There aren't a lot of teams looking to sell compared to past seasons. It appears more teams are convinced they can make a run at the playoffs and would rather be buyers or just stay put. In other cases, the losing teams just don't have enough to draw interest in the open market.

The 2016 MLB trade deadline is approaching quickly, and teams are scrambling to fill their biggest needs.

The non-waiver trade deadline is August 1 this year, pushed back a day from the usual deadline due to the fact that July 31 falls on a Sunday. 

Outfielder Ryan Braun would make a good trade candidate, especially with the Milwaukee Brewers squarely in sell mode before the August 1 non-waiver trade deadline, as he's in the midst of another strong season.
