The New York Yankees may be thought of as Major League Baseball's model franchise, but here's the worst-kept secret in the sport: They're not. These days, that title belongs to the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Kansas City Royals experienced a scary moment over the weekend when Yordano Ventura left Monday's start with elbow discomfort. The organization announced a setback to prospect Kyle Zimmer this morning. It has been a rough few days to be a Kansas City pitcher.

It's kind of a big deal to make it to The Show less than a year after being drafted, though it's far from unheard of.

The 2014 MLB All-Star Game will be played on July 15, or a little over a month-and-a-half from now, but it's never too soon to start diving into what this year's rosters might look like.

Arguing about who deserves to be on the rosters and who the biggest snubs are each year is half the fun of the game itself, and there will no doubt be some notable snubs once again this coming season.
