The Rangers have the right guy at the right time to lead this team into bigger and better things.
With Nolan Ryan finally getting to be the captain of the Rangers' ship, after a mutiny of former owner Tom Hicks, they can step into a future that is bright and full of contending years. Something this city hasn't seen in quite some time.
They have youth, along with veteran experience, just about everywhere you look.
They have pitching, they have hitting, but the one thing the Rangers have is the ability to hold on to a lead when they have one. I'm not talking about during the late innings though C.J. Wilson certainly could use some lessons in that category, but I'm talking about how to finish games late in the season.
When you have the capability to be in the thick of the division and you can smell blood in the water coming from the top of the division, they need to know how to be the shark that goes in for the kill.
Whether or not Nolan Ryan can bring that to this franchise is yet to be see, but if these five things happen, Ryan will be looked at as not only a hero during his playing days but a hero in the front office.
