Jeff Francoeur Making His Case for Being Released

After reading Dave O' Brien's (Atlanta Journal Constitution writer) latest, I am convinced that the sooner Jeff Francoeur is released, the better.

Francoeur was benched for the third straight game in part because he's not good enough to start on some church softball league teams right now. But mostly because Matt Diaz is tearing the cover off the ball of late.

Francoeur told O' Brien that he "wasn't happy" with the decision. He went on to say, "I cant do anything about it."

Jeff, there's plenty you can do about it! Try hitting better than .245 over the past two seasons! Try hitting for more power than your combined 16 HR's over the last season and a half.

Try not whining when your manager who has been in the game for over a half-century decides you need help with your swing.

There is such a thing as being a spoiled brat, and Jeff, you are the poster child for that honor. You are a detriment to this team and you ought to be thanking Frank Wren and Bobby Cox that you actually still have a job!

I am sick of this team's dysfunction, and Jeff Francoeur is part of the problem! His attitude flat-out stinks! He whined and cried when he was sent down to Double-A Mississippi after barely hitting .240 in the first half last season.

Forget trading "Frenchy" for anyone. At this point he wouldn't bring a decent church league softball player in return.

It's time to send him out unceremoniously. He is a distraction and an awful baseball player.

Good riddance, Jeff Francoeur!
