The Minnesota Twins fans and organization were thrilled to make the addition of Joe Crede to their team.
The offensive threat at third base is what the team has been looking for since the days of Corey Koskie. Currently Crede is hitting with a .154 batting average with only 1 RBI off a home run he hit against his former team, the Chicago White Sox on Friday.
Crede has played well defensively but with Glen Perkins at the mound tonight, Crede is expected to put some runs on the score board. Perkins only gave up one run in eight innings versus the Seattle Mariners during the finale of the opening four-game series.
Perkins still received the loss because he had absolutely no run support.
The Twins as a whole need to step it up offensively as well. Four of the five current Twins losses have taken place when they have scored one run or less. Tonight the Twins will be playing Toronto, even though the season is early, an addition to the win column is needed tonight.
