The Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds had to deal with thunderstorms during the nightcap of their doubleheader at Great American Ball Park on Saturday, and it was an experience that everyone in attendance will probably never forget.
The teams attempted to get as much of the game in as they possibly could before the weather got too nasty. However, in the middle of the third inning, the umpires were forced to stop the game so that the grounds crew could cover the field.
Why were they forced to have a rain delay? Because lightning struck the light tower above the left-field scoreboard.
As the video up top shows, nobody on the field wanted anything to do with that.
The image of lightning striking the light tower wasn't the only crazy photo of the night:
Play resumed after a 93-minute delay, with the Brewers completing the sweep of the doubleheader.
