The Giants number one prospect Madison Bumgarner just won again, but you know what? What else is new with this kid?
Madison Bumgarner is quickly becoming the David Price of this year and his numbers continue to show why the Giants regard him so high.
Let's take a look at his numbers between Advanced Single A and Double A.
W-L: 9-2
ERA: 1.63
CG: 1
IP: 77.1
SO: 66
Pretty spectacular numbers if you ask me.
If you think those stats are amazing, how about this? One home run allowed and oppents are hitting a measly .211 off of him.
What does that say about the Mad Bum?
Well if it is any indication, it means Bumgarner has amazing control of his pitches.
And this is all coming from a guy who can't even order himself a beverage at a bar. He won't turn 20 until August.
It looks like the Giants have another pitching phenom on their hands, and let's not forget that Tim Alderson is right behind him.
There is tremendous upside to both of these pitchers, and its hard to imagine that the organization will keep them in Connecticut any longer.
A move to Triple A Fresno is inevitable, and I truly believe that we will see these two in the Bigs in September or if we have any luck it might be sooner.
Just think in a couple seasons a rotation starring Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Madison Bumgarner, Tim Alderson, and that guy named Barry Zito will soon come into fruition is scary.
Let's not forget that the Giants also selected Zack Wheeler in this year's draft. Another high school pitcher, who was regarded as one of the best players in the draft.
Make no mistake the Giant's are a team that has pitching, but whether or not we trade one of our valuable pieces to get a bat remains to be seen.
But Giants fans you have even more to get excited about and believe me the golden years are coming.
