But those signings were somewhat overshadowed by slews of rumor and speculation surrounding some big names, ranging from free agents like Aroldis Chapman and Edwin Encarnacion to potential trade targets such as Chicago's Chris Sale and Kansas City's dynamic duo of Lorenzo Cain and Wade Davis.
