Well something strange happened. It is actually pretty funny, too. I'd like to talk about it. This is the talk. The Orioles Talk, that is. Isaac Barrow, I hope you enjoy this one. Laugh your heads off on this one.
Thanks to Yahoo's Big League Stew blog, they have found that the announcers of the Orioles' 5-1 win over the Mets, left the game on the rain-delay. Guess who they were? Jeff Angel and Fred Manfra. Now these guys are just absolutely funny.
The field got atrociously wet after the duo talked for the first inning. During the rain, Manfra and Angel just talked for 40 minutes during the delay. They suddenly just went home. Packed their bags and did their radio stuff back home.
After the groundskeeper fixed up the field, the game started. Strangely, no one was talking in the booth. Nobody! From Yahoo and the Baltimore Sun, they said it was called an early day by their superiors on 105.7 The Fan.
Angel also wrote a letter to all of the Orioles' fans, including you, Isaac. They said they would have broadcasted the game and stayed "but didn't simply have an engineer or any equipment."
Some fans are upset but don't worry, these two guys look to call it quits or probably get fired by their bosses or something like that. Just expect something to happen. Orioles fans, this is probably some sort of a strange start to a funny baseball season.
