The Orioles have placed quite the premium on drafting super-athletes with speed to burn in the past few drafts. It started with Tyler Henson, and has continued with Xavier Avery and Kyle Hudson, and this year the crop included Mychal Givens. It's quite funny then, that the player with the most steals over the past three years is prospect #21...Matt Angle.
Angle has always had speed in his blood, dating back to his days at Ohio State, when he stole 13 bases as a freshman, then upped the anty to 25 and 22 as a junior and senior.
When the O's tabbed Angle as their 7th round pick in 2007, they knew they were getting a guy who could put that same skill to use for them.
