Ranking the MLB's Top 5-Tool Players

They are a rare breed and a highly prized commodity if you can find them. Here are the top five-tool players in Major League Baseball.

Before we begin, let’s get something right out in the open. You can be a great all-around ballplayer but lack the classical five-tool label.

You only have to look at Mike Trout, who is one of the most amazing players in baseball at the moment but also has issues with his arm.

We aren’t looking for mediocrity in any category, but above-average production in hitting for power, average, arm strength, fielding and speed.

Of course, we could be wrong. Join MLB Lead Writer Zach Rymer and MLB Contributor Gabe Zaldivar in the grand debate.

As you will see, the majors are hardly filled with this special player who has pretty much everything.
