In the bottom of the first inning during Monday’s contest between the Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles, O’s slugger Manny Machado drilled a bullet that appeared to be destined for the right-center field seats.
Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier had other ideas.
The 25-year-old got a beat on the ball and leaped as high as he could at the fence. Kiermaier somehow pulled it back into the park, which put starting pitcher Chris Archer at a loss for words.
We feel you, Archer. That was jaw-dropping.
