Say Hey? What Do These Baseball Expressions Mean?

Baseball is beloved for more than the action on the field. It is a game where malapropisms are frequently used to describe the action taking place between players.

There are expressions, superstitions, and folklore that are ingrained into the national past time's psyche.

We know many of the expressions used, even if we do not know what they really mean.

One of the most renowned baseball legends is Yogi Berra. His malapropisms are so vast, it has made for several books. Quotes to emanate from him include, "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded!"

Like comedian David Letterman once told New York Yankees manager Stump Merrill, "Only in baseball can you get away with saying 'Hey kid? Show Stump your heater'."

Here are some expressions and practices that might make no sense. Feel free to add on more of your own.

note - thanks to b/r, I could not upload many photos. I keep telling them my issues, but it goes unresolved. Maybe an editor can fix it?
