Squirrel Climbs Net at Cardinals-Phillies Game, Disrupts Phillies' Dugout

As the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies attempted to play a baseball game at Citizens Bank Park on Friday night, a squirrel on the loose made it hard for some—especially the Phillies—to focus on the action on the field.

With St. Louis third baseman Matt Carpenter facing Philadelphia pitcher Phillippe Aumont in the top of the second inning, a squirrel grabbed everyone's attention. The squirrel rapidly climbed the net behind home plate and tried to run along the net before it fell onto Philadelphia's dugout.

The squirrel wound up down in the Phillies dugout, which sent the players scattering.

Some may recall that these two teams have a history with squirrels. During Game 4 of the 2011 National League Division Series between the Cardinals and Phillies, a squirrel ran across the Busch Stadium field during an at-bat.
