St Louis Set To Dominate The NL Central

The St Louis Cardinals have had a quick start to the season and are set to dominate the division again.

The Cardinals have always made this division theirs and only had the Astros as any real competition before the Chicago Cubs decided to throw a ton of money to players outside their organization.

The Cardinals have been hit by injuries for the past couple of years, which allowed the Cubs to reign supreme in the National League Central. Well I got bad news for you Cub fans. The Cardinals are back and ready for a huge 100-win season.

The key to the Cardinals success will be the health of future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols. He continues to wallop the ball driving opposing pictures insane. He is a big reason why the Cardinals are 14-6 and just cruising in first place.

The patience and power this player demostrates amazes me as we are witnessing one of the best sluggers of any era. His impact on a game reminds me of players such as Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle. Ryan Ludwick and Yadier Molina are having a huge April.

I knew this would be the only team capable of dethroning the Cubs because of their history. The Cardinals are always competitive and do not give up like the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburg Pirates. They have a proud history and only the New York Yankees have more pennants.

Trust me when I say Tony Larussa and the Cardinals do not like it how the Cubs have dominated the division the last couple of years.

The Chicago Cubs will always be the lovable losers while the Cardinals always will have a much more wining tradition. The Cardinals are set—bearing unforeseen injuries—to win this division for the next couple of years.

It is beter this way as fans around the country are more accustomed to expect to see cardinal red in the playoffs than ugly cubbie blue. The redbirds actually can show the country that they actually have a chance of winning a playoff game and going to the World Series.

Their history of postseason success makes the average cub fan blush Cardinal red.
