Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross may have thought he had a home run when the ball left his bat. Detroit Tigers center fielder Rajai Davis had other ideas.
With two outs in the top of the second inning of Tuesday's game, Ross hit a deep drive to left-center field. He just didn't hit it far enough to put it out of Davis' range.
Davis was able to get to the wall, time his jump and make a spectacular catch to rob Ross of a go-ahead two-run homer. And he did it right in front of the Cubs bullpen.
Thanks to Davis, Ross is still looking for his first home run of the season.
