There have been many center fielders throughout the history of baseball. There have been good ones, very good ones and great ones. Unfortunately not all of the great ones have made it inside the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
This is a list of the Top 10 center-fielders who are eligible for the Hall of Fame but thus far have been snubbed by the Baseball Writers of America, and or the Veterans Committee of the Hall of Fame.
Statistics for each facet of the game have been incorporated into this ranking. Power, average, speed, runs created, fielding and personal achievements have all been part of this process.
The winner of this list does not necessarily have to win any category at all. If a player finishes in the top 4 of all categories, it is not unlikely that he will be ahead of a man who won 3 categories yet placed poorly in a few others.
