One of the biggest stories of this young baseball season has been the play of 20-year phenom and NL Rookie of the Year candidate Jason Heyward of the Braves.
Every team hopes to strike gold and draft the next superstar player, and when a player comes out and dominates in his first season, it always seems to garner a great deal of attention.
With that, I have decided to name what I feel are the top ten rookie seasons in baseball history.
I took into account the statistics that the player posted, but also how successful the team was in their rookie season, because when a team can make a postseason run and have a rookie play a major role it speaks volumes to how impressive that rookie was.
