D'Arnaud Leaves Saturday's Game with Injury

Saturday, June 20

The 26-year-old left Saturday's game after attempting to tag A.J. Pierzynski out at home on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning. D'Arnaud's arm jerked violently back as Pierzynski ran through the tag. MLB.com posted a replay of the play at the plate.

MLB.com's Mark Bowman reported after the game that the X-rays on d'Arnaud's elbow didn't show any structural damage.

Entering the game, d'Arnaud was batting .279, with three home runs and 14 runs batted in in 74 plate appearances.

Kevin Plawecki took his place in the lineup Saturday and will mostly likely serve as his replacement going forward.
