Travis d'Arnaud Scampers Back to Dugout After Being Frightened by Thunderstorm

The second that New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud saw the lightning and heard the thunder, the only thing on his mind was getting to the dugout as quickly as possible.

As d'Arnaud prepared to bat in the bottom of the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, there was a big strike of lightning and a loud rumbling of thunder at Citi Field. Like many would in that situation, the 26-year-old ballplayer scampered off the field and into the dugout.

The game would end up being delayed for 42 minutes as the storm passed through. Perhaps still a bit frightened, d'Arnaud struck out once the game resumed.
