Myers Scratched vs. Mariners With Wrist Injury
Tuesday, May 12
Fox Sports' Kris Budden has the details on the injury that prevented Myers from playing at Safeco Field:
Dennis Lin of U-T San Diego provided more information:
The wrist is the same one Myers, then with the Rays, jammed in the fourth game of last season. Myers played through that injury before sustaining a stress fracture in his right wrist at the end of last May and landing on the disabled list.
Myers is still trying to settle into a role on defense, but the 24-year-old has added some pop to San Diego's lineup.
The Padres' MLB-worst run production from last year has improved greatly to start 2015. They rank sixth entering Tuesday's action in runs scored, and Myers leads the club with 39 hits, ranking second on the team with five home runs in 32 games as well.
