Byung Ho Park was basically the Bryce Harper of the Korea Baseball Organization. In his last four seasons, in particular, many baseballs were obliterated by his bat.

But now with the Minnesota Twins, Park is already raising the question: Does he have the goods to translate his talent to Major League Baseball?

Rookie Trevor Story has been, well, the story so far for the Colorado Rockies. Why not? The kid hit seven home runs in his first six games, after all. They sent his helmet and batting gloves to Cooperstown and everything.

Paul Carey, who was Ernie Harwell's broadcast partner with the Detroit Tigers for 19 seasons, died Tuesday at the age of 88.  

Per the Associated Press (via NBCSports.com), Carey's wife, Nancy, confirmed her husband's death, noting he had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and heart disease. 

The Minnesota Twins placed closer Glen Perkins on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a left shoulder strain, per Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.

Former Chicago White Sox first baseman Adam LaRoche—who retired after he was asked by the team's front office to dial back the amount of time his son, Drake, spent in the clubhouse—spoke at length about that decision with Tim Keown of ESPN the Magazine.

And LaRoche doesn't seem to regret his decision one bit:

Atlanta Braves outfielder Hector Olivera was arrested in Arlington, Virginia, early Wednesday morning due to his alleged involvement in a domestic dispute. 

Whether it's a key injury, an underperforming player or an exposed weakness, all 30 MLB teams have at least one crucial storyline surrounding the club here in the early going.

It's important not to put too much stock in less than two weeks' worth of games, but after an offseason of anticipation and a spring of meaningless results, it's easy to do just that.

Dan Duquette is currently the general manager of the Baltimore Orioles, but he could be looking at a promotion from another team. 

According to Mike Berardino of the Pioneer Press, the Washington Nationals are "pursuing" Duquette to be their team president.

After several fans were injured at Fenway Park in 2015, the Boston Red Sox made some recommended safety upgrades, including expanded netting to protect fans from foul balls and broken bats.

Not all fans are happy about the changes, though.

Washington Nationals slugger Bryce Harper is a confident man, and he's also up on all things "new school." Basically, he is baseball's Cam Newton.

It's no surprise, then, that he placed stickers with the "100" emoji on the bottom of his bats. Because of course he did.
