Though the 2013 offseason is not complete, many teams already have their starting outfield set for the coming season.

Others are looking at both the free-agent and trade markets to find the players whom they need. Players like Michael Bourn are still available, and they could greatly improve a team's outfield.

Both players' offensive and defensive abilities were considered for these rankings.

They are the unheralded few, the biggest stars who continue to get overlooked by baseball fans across the nation.

We are here to correct that error, at least for the few who splashed onto this video.

Whether it be consistency over a great number of years, versatility on the field or just some sick stuff that continues to get overshadowed, you will agree these ballplayers have been underrated for far too long. 

As the longtime debate regarding performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) in Major League Baseball comes to the forefront once again, so too do the questions about the Hall of Fame.

So far, the testing process seems to have had little, if any, deterrent effect on those who use within the sport.

Another day, another instance of controversial news regarding New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez.

Yadier Molina has become the current face of the St. Louis Cardinals organization.  After Albert Pujols packed up last offseason and headed west, Cardinal fans turned their focus to hoping Yadier wouldn't follow Albert out of town.

Since Jon Daniels was hired as general manager after the 2005 season, the Rangers haven't had many quiet offseasons.

Although he has done a lot of his best work at the trade deadlines, Daniels has also made many key additions during these offseasons. There have been a few misses too.

The offseason isn't technically over yet, but there's a good chance the Rangers won't make any more moves.

A repeat as AL West champions for the Oakland Athletics starts with manager Bob Melvin. Without him at the helm, it's not happening this year and it wouldn't have occurred last season either.

The team is talented, but Melvin pulled the right strings at the right times throughout the 2012 season. With the first base platoon returning and five outfielders for four spots, he'll have to hope his magic touch hasn't waned.

It's baseball's version of the Olympiad.

After a four-year hiatus, the World Baseball Classic is back in 2013. With it comes the potential and the hope that the event can capture the attention of even more fans than it did back in 2009.

It will be interesting to see how the plot unfolds in the tournament for international baseball bragging rights.

The teams in the AL East are filled with talent.

The Yankees, per usual, are one of the most skilled and highest-paid teams in the league. The Red Sox are determined to rebound after a tough 2012. The Blue Jays made a bevy of offseason moves. The Orioles are hoping to build on one of their best seasons in years, and the Rays look to ride stars Evan Longoria and David Price to a postseason berth.

Don't be surprised, however, if a newcomer from each team plays a pivotal role in determining the winner of the AL East. 

Ahead lies the grand holiday (for baseball fans) known as Pitchers and Catchers. Behind lies one of the strangest offseasons in recent Major League Baseball history.

On the one hand, there was the usual. Trades were made, bargain players were found and more than a few players got overpaid. This is baseball, after all.
