Both of these kids aren't even old enough to drink. One is barely old enough to legally drive by himself.  Stephen Strasburg, 20, and Bryce Harper, 16, are baseball's future. Strasburg, a starting pitcher out of San Diego State University, and Harper, a catcher out of Las Vegas High School, have both been called baseball's saviors.

In this article, I'll get an in-depth analysis of each player's strengths, and then give my opinion of which player I'd rather build a franchise around.

After a postponed game yesterday and a 36 minute rain delay today, history was made as the 45-year-old left handed Randy Johnson got his 300th career win.

After some clutch defense and stingy hitting, the day was complete after Brian Wilson struck out the side in the ninth inning to ensure the 5-1 victory for the Big Unit.

Johnson became the 24th pitcher and sixth left hander in Major League history to accomplish this great feat.

ST. LOUIS—LeBron James might be “The King”, but in St. Louis, locals will tell you there’s a more important person in town, “El Hombre”.  Albert Pujols has offered the sport of baseball one of its most amazing spectacles of talent ever.

I was watching the Giants vs. Nationals earlier today in the press box to see if Randy Johnson would complete a historic feat, 300 wins.  The mammoth lefty did, indeed, do so by pitching six innings of unearned ball.

Ichiro Suzuki entered the league just nine years ago. He won the A.L MVP and the Rookie of the Year in his first year while leading the Mariners to 116 wins (a MLB record).

He averages over 200 hits per season and a career batting average of .331. In 2004 Ichiro broke the most hits in a single season with 262.

He owns the record for most hits in a four-year span. Between 2001 and 2004 Ichiro got 922 hits. He has also appeared in eight straight All-Star games.

Of all the events that took place in the 2007 ALDS, the one that stands out the most was the attack of the midges during the final innings of the game. 

For anyone who watched, it was one of the most unbelievable things ever to happen during a baseball game. 

All of a sudden, it looked like snow was falling from the sky. The game took place in Cleveland during October, but the temperature was unseasonably warm, so needless to say there was no snow in the forecast. 

Coming off a tough loss to the Cleveland Indians yesterday afternoon, the New York Yankees rebounded to beat the Tribe on Monday night by a score of 5-2.

The game was tied at 1-1 in the top of the seventh, but the Bronx Bombers took the lead with four runs in the inning.

It’s no secret that the St. Louis Cardinals’ bats have been ice-cold lately.

Stellar pitching has kept them on the heels of the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central standings, but with recent injuries to both the pitching staff and lineup, they will most certainly need to find a more balanced attack to win on a consistent basis.

They may be getting the timing right, though, with an eight-game homestand starting tonight. 2008 All-Star outfielder Ryan Ludwick will be taking the night off after testing out his body in the San Francisco series.

It's finally June, and as of me writing this, the first day of a three-month span when baseball shall rule supreme.

Sure, the NBA Finals are going to kick into gear here in a few days (go Magic by the way) and there are at most five hockey games left. But it's the stage for baseball at this point in time.

The boys of summer are ready to go and before we know it, the All-Star break will be here and oh my, the season will be more than two months old.
