Rookie of the Year candidates, current (and former) All-Stars and high-paid veterans litter Week 11's All-Dud team. Once again, the funk proved it doesn't care about a player's track record of success, how much money he makes or how highly touted he was as a prospect.

The funk can strike any player at any time—and neither popping two Advils nor spending the day in bed is enough to get rid of it. The cure is different for every player.

The Cubs' official Twitter account provided the update after Fowler appeared to injure his hamstring while trying to beat out a throw to first base in the first inning.

Last year's influx of talent spoiled baseball fans. Kris Bryant, Carlos Correa, Francisco Lindor and Noah Syndergaard wasted no time assimilating to the big leagues, instead offering All-Star production from Day 1. Welcoming such an exceptional crop of future stars isn't the norm.

On June 15, the Miami Marlins' Ichiro Suzuki collected his 4,257th professional hit. In one sense, he passed Pete Rose on the all-time hits list. In another, he didn't, since 1,278 of those knocks came during Ichiro's days in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball.
