Chris Davis leads the majors with 15 RBI this spring.

He’s hitting .409 with an OPS of 1.247. Davis has seven doubles and four home runs in 44 at bats.

He destroyed Triple-A pitching last year hitting .327 with 14 HR and 80 RBI in 398 at bats. He tore up Triple-A pitching in 2009, also hitting .327 with six home runs and 30 RBI in 165 at bats.

Seattle Mariners (2010 record: 61-101)

Many pundits believed the Mariners could win the American League West last season—I am numbered among those people. The joke was on us.

Instead of making a run at the Angels and the Rangers, the Mariners turned in one of the more disappointing efforts in major league history, going 61-101.

Felix Hernandez in pinstripes is something that a lot of people still see as a possibility, even as early as this season.

A lot has been ballyhooed about the reigning Cy Young's status with the Mariners, his no-trade clause and whether or not the Mariners should consider shipping off their ace for a true king's ransom.

 The next time Kendrys Morales takes the field in a game, his teammates and coaches aren’t likely to tell him to “break a leg.”

The L.A. Angels first baseman did just that late last May and hasn’t made a single appearance in a game since. Nearly a year removed from the injury that effectively killed his and the Angels’ season, Morales still isn’t quite ready for game time.

The Mariners were bad in 2010. There's no getting around that. The real worry here, is how do we get better?

We get better with trades. What do you need for trades? Prospects.

We get better with new talent. What is another word for new talent? Prospects.

It's all simple math, really. Here, I'll try to lay out some of those prospects that could serve a purpose in the Mariners getting over that 61-win mark.

At this late date in spring training, the majority of teams across Major League Baseball have made most of their critical personnel decisions regarding who will be coming north with them once camps break and the regular season commences.

There are however, still important decisions to be made in Rangers camp, as the days dwindle and Opening Day rapidly approaches.

With the 2011 Major League Baseball season just around the corner, some teams may still be looking to add some extra fire power to their rosters.  With that being said, there's still an array of talent available on the market.

Most of the time a free agent is going to add depth to a teams roster, but not necessarily give you an everyday starter.  Every now-and-then you can find a former All-Star who can still be a productive starter.

So who are the top 10 available free agents?

As we just passed the two-year mark since commissioner Bud Selig launched his "Blue-Ribbon" committee to determine if the Athletics would be granted permission to move to San Jose, I decided I wanted to look back at the failed attempts to stay in Oakland.

After years of the Mike Scioscia Angels maintaining a stranglehold on the AL West, things finally came together for the Texas Rangers in 2010, as they overcame their rivals from California on their way to their very first American League pennant.

Looking to maintain their place atop the division, the Rangers were quite active this Winter. Though key midseason acquisition Cliff Lee departed for Philadelphia, Jon Daniels was able to bring in Adrian Beltre, Mike Napoli, Brandon Webb, and Arthur Rhodes.

Let me start by getting this out of the way: Despite the rumors, I don't think the Mariners are going to trade Felix Hernandez anytime soon.

Hernandez is the best pitcher in the American League and he's signed through 2014 at a rate that is reasonable for a player of his caliber. 

The Mariners are a well-supported team that is regularly in the top half of the league in team payroll and has no apparent need to cut salary.  There are no Mets-style financial problems here.
